What is NameWick?

NameWick lets you create a surprise page on a fun domain name, upload a photo with a caption, and share the link. The URL is the message — imagine sending someone a link to "verybeautifulgirl.com" with their photo on it.

Do I own the domain?

No. All domains are owned by NameWick. When you create a page, you are purchasing a temporary right to show your photo and caption on that domain during your reserved time window. You do not acquire any ownership, registration rights, or permanent claim to the domain name.

How long does a page last?

Each booking has a 5-hour minimum. You pick a start time in your local timezone, and if a day is only partially free the app lets you book up to the next reservation.

Can I choose a future start time?

Yes. You can reserve a domain up to 30 days ahead and choose exactly when the booking begins.

Can I edit my photo or caption after publishing?

Yes. You can update your photo and caption at any time while your page is active. Edited content goes through the same moderation checks as the original upload.

Can I protect the page with a login?

Yes. Each booking can be open, password-protected, or locked with a username and password. We store only hashed access secrets.

What happens when my page expires?

Your photo and caption are removed, and the domain becomes available again. Uploaded photos are automatically deleted from our servers shortly after expiration.

What kind of photos can I upload?

All photos are automatically screened by our content moderation system. Photos containing nudity, violence, hate speech, or other prohibited content will be rejected. See our Acceptable Use Policy for full details.

Someone posted my photo without permission. How do I get it removed?

You can submit a takedown request through our content removal page and we will process it promptly.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are available for technical failures on our end, duplicate charges, or if your photo is rejected by moderation after payment. Change-of-mind refunds are not available since the service activates immediately. See our full Refund Policy for details.

How is my payment processed?

Web payments are processed through Dodo Payments, which acts as Merchant of Record for the web checkout flow. On supported devices and browsers, Dodo may present Apple Pay or Google Pay. We never store your card details.

Is my data safe?

We collect minimal data — just what is needed to operate the service. Page data and photos are automatically deleted shortly after expiration. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Do I need an account?

Yes. You need an account to create and manage bookings. If you use Google sign-in and email/password with the same verified email, NameWick links those identities to the same account.

Can someone else use the same domain while I have it?

No. Availability is controlled by one booking source of truth. Once your time window is held and payment is confirmed, overlapping bookings for that domain are blocked.
